Triple bill of sci-fi action films based on the computer game franchise. 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within' (2001) tells the futuristic tale of an Earth besieged by alien invaders. Dr Aki Ross (voice of Ming-Na) is a talented young scientist who must uncover the secrets of the invaders before the Phantom particles infecting her body kill her. Aided by members of a counter-alien team run by Grey Edwards (Alec Baldwin) and Dr Sid (Donald Sutherland), Aki must also outwit General Hein (James Woods) whose plans for alien resistance have deadly ramifications for the people of Earth. In 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children' (2005) a deadly disease called Geostigma is rapidly spreading throughout the planet and its inhabitants. Ex-soldier Cloud Strife (Takahiro Sakurai), intent on leading a solitary life travelling as a transporter, receives a phone call from the former president of Shinra asking for his help to stop three villains who are set on resurrecting the evil extra-terrestrial Jenova. Although reluctant at first, Cloud understands the importance of the mission and agrees, but what challenges await him? Finally, 'Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV' (2016) follows the developments of the war between the magical kingdom of Lucis and the evil Niflheim Empire. As the army of Kingslaives, commanded by King Regis (Sean Bean), follow their orders to fight off the Niflheim army, an ultimatum is presented to Regis from the other side stating he must relinquish control of his land outside of the city and wed his son, Prince Noctis (Ray Chase), to the former princess of Tenebrae and now prisoner of Niflheim, Lady Lunafreya (Lena Headey).
