Children's animated fantasy adventure featuring the voice talents of Samantha Mathis, Tim Curry, Robin Williams and Christian Slater. Crysta (Mathis) is a young fairy who lives in FernGully, a beautiful rainforest free from pollution. Humans are thought to be extinct but when Crysta encounters Zak (Jonathan Ward), a lumberjack, she accidentally shrinks him down to her size while attempting to save him from a falling tree. As she works to restore him to his normal size, his fellow lumberjacks cut down a tree in which Hexxus (Tim Curry), a dangerous and destructive spirit, was sealed long ago. With Hexxus and the humans threatening the future of FernGully, the fairies will need Zak's help if they are going to save their home.
