As he trains alone Naofumi grows determined to prove to the kingdom that he is a worthy hero and when he makes two purchases, a rare egg that hatches into a fighting bird he names Filo (Rina Hidaka) as well as a demi-girl named Raphtalia (Asami Seto), his luck may be about to change.
