Princess Arete - Collectors Edition DVD

Japanese anime in which young Princess Arete (voice of Houko Kuwashima) is locked away in an isolated tower under the instruction of her father, the king. He demands that Arete should never have contact with the outside world until she meets a potential suitor for her to marry, and uses these suitors to bring him jewels and gifts in an attempt to win his admiration and the permission to betroth his daughter. When she becomes wise to her father's corruption Arete decides to sneakily venture outside of the castle, discovering that there is a world filled with hope and excitement to be explored. But for how long can Arete avoid the many proposals flung at her from eager admirers?
