The first seven episodes of the Japanese anime directed by Yoshiyuki Fujiwara. 18-year-old Tsukasa Mizugaki (voice of Yasuaki Takumi) works with the Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation where human androids, known as Giftias, live alongside humans but are only given short pre-determined lifespans. Tsukasa's job is to retrieve these models once they near the end of their lifespan. However, when he is paired with the well-regarded Giftia Isla (Sora Amamiya), Tsukasa falls in love with her and has difficulty accepting her fate. The episodes are: 'The First Partner', 'Don't Want to Cause Trouble', 'We've Just Started Living Together', 'I Just Don't Know How to Smile', 'The Promise I Wanted to Keep', 'Welcome Home the Both of Us' and 'How to Ask Her Out'.
