Kayvan Mashayekh directs this adventure in which a 12-year-old boy discovers that he is a direct descendant of an eleventh century Persian poet and philosopher. Kamran (Adam Echahly) is greatly intrigued when he learns of his illustrious heritage. As he sets about discovering everything he can regarding his ancestor Omar Khayyam (Bruno Lastra), the narrative of the film switches between Kamran's present day research and the historical story of Omar, who fights for the love of a woman with Hassan Sabbah (Christopher Simpson). Vanessa Redgrave also stars.
