Christian Slade is best known as the artist and author of the graphic novel series "Korgi". Even though he grew up in New Jersey and California and currently resides in Florida, it is at his art desk and in the pages of his sketchbook where he really lives. Drawing upon his travels and life experiences, Christian Slade uses traditional media such as pen and ink, and watercolor to create his narrative artwork. He is one of the gifted illustrators of the New York Times bestselling children's books, also a prolific plein air artist and sketchbook enthusiast. Many of his personal and experimental art works are in private collections around the world and for sale here on his website. He lives in Winter Garden Florida with his wife Ann and their twins Kate and Nate.

Christian Slade, a former Disney animator and currently full-time freelance illustrator, has brought to Top Shelf Productions a gorgeously illustrated woodland fantasy about a young girl named Ivy, her dog Sprout and their amazing adventures in Korgi Hollow. This amazing combination of adventure and fantasy will appeal to anyone who loves Andy Runton's "Owly" and Jeff Smith's "Bone". Get ready for the launch of something very daring and very new - KORGI!

Enter Korgi Hollow, an utterly charming fantasy world brought to life by former Disney animator, Christian Slade. In the Korgi book series, we find an epic tale of friendship between a young girl named Ivy and her dog, Sprout. Ivy and Sprout journey together through perils untold, facing many different foes along the way, including dinosaurs, spiders and even a troll so big that he towers over houses. The friends always find their way through the troubles that ensnare them, never losing faith in each other.

Like many other successful graphic novels published by Top Shelf Productions, KORGI is silent, relying on Christian Slade's illustrations to both tell the story of Ivy and Sprout and convey the emotions behind their adventures. Slade's illustrations are so expressive and full of life that the pages radiate the feelings of his characters, and the lack of dialogue is hardly noticed. KORGI is as intricately illustrated, rich and fully imagined as an animated film. The character of Sprout himself is adorable in the extreme. While there is some danger of overcuteness at points, few will mind being drawn into this touching, exciting story, suitable for fantasy fans of all ages.
